All of our ski staff here at UtahState.com wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! It’s Christmas Eve, and family gatherings bring in the joy of the season.
If you and your family are searching for activities, one thing to consider might be the Park City Snow Fest, an event filled time of holiday cheer. Today, for example, you can find carolers in the afternoon at Park City Mountain Village, and then meet the Avalanche Dogs in the evening at Canyons Village Ski Beach. Top it all off with the Annual Torchlight Parade at Park City Mountain Village.
If you haven’t made it out to Park City yet to explore these events, you can still check their calendar HERE to view the activities planned in the upcoming weeks. The Avalanche Dogs will be making regular appearances. On january 3rd from 3pm to 6pm visit Canyons village for Silver Sky Nights (Fireworks, Live Music, Hot Cocoa and Donuts, Crafts and Glow Sticks).
Baby it’s cold outside! Leading up to thanksgiving weekend we are experiencing some great snow in the valley and in our world class ski resorts!
Did you know that Utah has wonderful natural sights all around? This picture was taken by one of our agents who went out to Mirror Lake near provo recently – just 1 hr away from Park City. This little lake off of the main lake is popular for ice fishing!
One word: weather forecast. Wait, that’s two. We’re so excited we just can’t take our minds off of skiing!
We think Snowbird’s weather forecast for tomorrow (and tonight) is something to get excited about. Will you be heading up the canyon to take advantage of this new snow? Who knows, maybe you’ll be able to try out some of the tricks you saw at the Winter Games.
Over the past few months while you were out enjoying the summer sun, Snowbird was hard at work on their most anticipated project for the coming year. This winter, a new hi-speed Gad 2 will be in operation. Gad 2, arguably one of the best lifts serving up access to hidden powder stashes on the mountain, is also the only new chairlift in the state this season.
Upgrading from the dated double chair to a high speed, detachable quad, fresh turns are now accessible in half the time of the old lift. This translates to faster laps and more of Utah’s famously deep powder. After such success with the replacement of the Little Cloud chair last season, Gad 2 is poised for a big debut this winter. Compete Snowbird ski packages are as affordable as the Ski Bum special from UtahState.com!
