Be prepared for Snow in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon – Traction Laws in Effect

Whether you are local here in the Salt Lake Valley, or you are coming in to ski/snowboard (like our customers!) be prepared for winter driving conditions.

We are expecting another snow storm to come through – and while it may mean rain in the valley, it’s snowing in the mountains! This is great for skiing and snowboarding. However, be careful when driving through Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon. Make sure your car is prepared for winter driving, or contract with a shuttle to allow the experts to do the driving for you.

UDOT advises that drivers going through mountain or canyon routes should be prepared for driving restrictions at any time when adverse weather is possible.

For this weekend, drivers can expect the worse conditions on Friday evening and Saturday.

Our Ski Bum Packages can include the transfers so you can enjoy the view rather than navigate the weather! Call us today at 801-544-1800.

A little known fact – Alta Ski After 3

Alta has had this ‘Ski After 3′ program for years, but it’s not well known. If you live here in Utah, you can even get a season pass for Ski After 3, price for this season $49. Do note that the season pass is only available online. Check out more details via the ALTA website. The Ski After 3 promotion applies to the beginner terrain on the Sunnyside and Albion chairs, as well as the Transfer Tow.

For those of you who are planning to visit Utah or who are coming on one of our Ski Bum packages, you can also take advantage of this program to fit an extra ski resort into your itinerary. For example, if you have a park city ski pass, but you want to at least experience some of the Little Cottonwood powder, you can!

Stay safe out there on the slopes and enjoy the powder!
